Hi! I'm (The) Brooke, a singer, songmaker, O.G. YouTube cover artist, and alien (from Canada), living in the hills of Montana with my two beautiful, magical sons -- 5-year-old Merlin and baby Arthur -- and their amazing dad, Larry.
I've been letting this page sit dormant for a long time. But all the challenges of the past that seemed to keep me 'too busy' for music seem puny now -- compared to what our family now faces. And instead of using this current challenge as one more excuse not to make music, this time I'm going to do the opposite. Because life is too short not to do what you love. Plus, this page may be one of our only sources of income for some time to come.
You see, my husband Larry -- the sweetest, most wonderful man I've ever known, and most loving father our children could ever ask for -- has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer.
Not the best news, but there it is. And we're going to fight it with everything we have and hopefully kick its ass. But it's not going to be quick and it's not going to be easy. A hope-filled but very challenging journey lies ahead for us, during which we must rely on the kindness of family, friends and strangers alike. I can at least try to give it a good soundtrack, though, and in the process give something back to those of you so generously offering your support.
Whether you are here as a fan of my music and just want to dangle shiny things in front of me to get me to record more songs, or you're a friend/fam/fan of Larry's/our family and want to offer support in an ongoing way to help us through this difficult time, or maybe both...
