Where It All Began..
The Connections Project is an ongoing living art project which invites us to take part in a mindful moment of connection by placing our hand on a door; with this intentional act of gentle mindfulness, we share a similar experience with everyone who has placed their hand on the door before us, and everyone who will place their hand on the door after us. Sharing experiences offers prime soil to contemplate and cultivate compassion. The Connections Project exists to offer a door:way of sharing energy from our hearts through our hands, to everyone involved in this project. It offers a chance to contemplate how everyday objects can be a way of remembering the connection each one of us share, as we weave moments on this beautiful planet alongside one another. Connections ask for courage and vulnerability, connections invite us to care about others and to look deeply within ourselves.
The Connections Project exists to explore the everyday opportunities we all have in how we choose to use our energy, with the focus on peaceful behaviours in everyday moments.
Those who wish to participate may choose to have their picture taken as part of the tangible and visual experience this project offers, which is then shared through the ongoing installation with the goal of contemplating we are all truly in this experience of life, together.
The Connections Project seeks to celebrate our own uniqueness, and honour the fundamental certainty that we have a choice, every minute, to use our energy for peaceful and compassionate actions through every day objects, circumstances and opportunities.
The Connections Project travels often, and seeks to connect with as many people as possible; to connect, learn and consciously acknowledge the beauty and challenges co-existing with one another can present. By doing so, The Connections Project explores what it would be like if everyone mindfully acknowledged the connections with one another in our daily moments. The connections with ourselves. With our thoughts, values and actions.
The Connections Project would love for you to be a part of this living art experience!
