Milestone Goals
Pay for professional editing.
I have just started looking for editors and the price I see is around $3-$5 per page. I can barely meet my monthly bills as it is. I want to get this book properly edited.
pay this month's bills.
I hope to attract enough patrons to get my monthly expenses covered. This would allow me to work on my art full time and to employee a fellow Oklahoman in my current field.
Self Publish the book.
I found a self publishing company that will include black and white drawings at a decent price. Color cover.

Hello Friends!! I am thefatherphil and am a multimedia artist. I am a classically trained painter from the University of Oklahoma. Born and raised here. I am a self taught folk musician (guitar player of course.) I have released one album (Taken by Fables, Given to Wine) and am working on my second.
I sculpt in oil based clay. I read books. I tell stories.
I am currently focusing on writing my first novel,
When the Cows Come Home.
This is where you come in. I have been rolling this book around in my head for the past ten years. It hurts. It needs out. I need funding to steal the time away from the day job to finish writing it. I currently have 413 pages of it. There are parts that need fleshing out and it desperately needs editing. These things also take time and....you guessed it, Money.
I am to the fun/painful part of the book. I have the beginning, the end and even the elusive middle. I just need to refine and polish this madness. I'm not searching perfection, just quality work. It is my first novel. Oh yeah, I'm including drawings and paintings in the book too. Your funding gets you access to the process, and a chance to influence the work along the way!
Although my novel is currently my main focus, all of my other creative impulses must be utilized and acted upon (lest I be driven mad by the muses that fuel me.) So your donation will give you access to reports from the field and videos of and about the creation of the creations that I create.
