The Folklore Podcast is a unique mix of both education and entertainment, as well as a regular host and fantastic guests.

Creator Mark Norman is a folklore researcher and author, and committee member of The Folklore Society. His network gives the show access to many experts working in the field of folklore who appear on the podcast to discuss their work. This means that you get free access to some of the world's finest researchers.

Although academic in nature, the podcast is presented in a lively way, suitable for listeners of any age. Since its launch, The Folklore Podcast has been generating five-star ratings on iTunes in the UK, US and Canada and people tell us that they love its mix of guests, information and more.

Podcasts written by Mark are supported by an episode transcript which all Patrons receive. Additionally, patrons are rewarded with audiobook partworks of obscure folklore books and at higher levels bonus mini episodes.

Our episodes will always be free to listen to, but your support will help us to bring you so much more: bonus content, books and films and live events.
Tiers
Traditional Patron
$1 or more per month 73 patrons
An entry level pledge of just $1 (or roughly 70p)  per month, makes you a Traditional Patron, and will earn you extra audio content each month. You will receive partworks of recordings which over time will join up to build your own folklore audio library. Patrons at this level will also qualify for a free download of the documentary DVD that will be produced on the completion of Goal 2 and extra patron-only material from time to time as an extra treat!
Customary Patron
$5 or more per month 32 patrons
In addition to the audio in the $1 pledge, being a Customary Patron also earns you a mini-episode each month. This could be a short audio, it could be a short film or it could be something different. It will always be a surprise but will also always be up to the high standard of the regular podcast. Patrons at this level will receive 10% discount on all store purchases from launch.

You will also receive a free DVD format of the documentary that will be made on the completion of Goal 2, mailed to you on release.

Goals
$289 of $300 per month
GOAL 3: DEDICATED DEVELOPMENT TIME
Your pledges will be used to ensure that the podcast continues to be ad-free and produced regularly. Through your generosity, we will be able to pay a certain amount of money towards dedicated podcast writing and recording time. At the moment, we have to fit this around other paid work and sometimes it means that podcast content can be compromised.
On completion of this goal, we will increase the quantity of patron-only recordings each month to further enhance the audio folklore library which we will be creating through the new rewards.
