Well hello there fellow human being =) And welcome to our Patreon page. So, what´s The Gaming Ground (Aka "TGG") all about then?

Well, we´re a team of Gamers/Geeks and techies from all over the world (we are based in Sweden though), that loves to write and talk about video games, hardware, software, movies and anime.

And due to the fact that we are 10 people strong team (you can read more about us here!) nowadays (with more people eager to join us!), we cover everything from next-gen games, mobile games, indie games, PC-games to hardware, software and Gaming/anime/movie conventions.

TGG (The Gaming Ground) has come a long way since 2014 in May.

As for me, I (Robin Ek) have been working in the video game industry since 2005. I started as a retail seller of video games, by working for different game retail companies in Sweden (I also created my own company "Gaming Ground/gamingground.se" back in 2006).

And I´ve been writing about games, movies and technology since 1998 (I also created thegamingground.com back in 2009). However, I decided to take the next big step by creating thegg.net (which launched back in May 2014). Because I felt like it was about time that took "The Gaming Ground" to the next level.

And so far, we´re doing pretty well, but there are tons of more work that needs to get done (updates on the homepage, get more talented people to join our team and so on). And that´s why we need your help. Because it´s rather time demanding to do design, code, videos, podcasts, articles, interviews and reviews.

Running our homepage isn't cheap either. In fact, our monthly expenses is about 100 dollars at this time (staff costs, web host and Cloudflare costs etc.). We don´t demand (or ask for) thousands of dollars, but simply enough money to pay for our costs per month. And that´s it.

We do have additional goals of course, but everything above 100 dollars would be a big bonus for us. And if we got more money than we ask for, then we will use that money to pay our staff more money for their work (because at this time, they get very little for their work).

And the rest of the money would go to either charity or giveaways to our fans.

So, a big thank you in advance! RobinEk, CEO TGG

Dear developers, we kindly ask you not to donate to our Patreon page. As it would create a clear "conflict of interest" situation. It would also be a violation against our ethics policies. So don´t do that, you should focus on making epic games, services and products instead. Thank you in advance!

If you happen to notice any donations that might cause a conflict of interest. Then feel free to mail us about it at info at thegg dot net We will then take a close look at the case in question, and do a proper investigation with all seriousness.
