If you're here, you probably already know that I'm Steven Goldman, host of the Infinite Inning podcast. The Infinite Inning, which has been running for about 18 months now, is an ongoing podcast that exists at the intersection of baseball, history, politics, and culture. I use stories set in the past to create analogies to today's events, whether in sports or in our world at large. I also talk to an array of guests, among them a regular rotation of cohosts.

If you've listened to the show, you know that each episode runs about 90 minutes and contains a couple of commercial breaks. You'd think that having these ads would allow me to spend my working days focusing on making the Infinite Inning the best podcast of its kind (it's already the only podcast of its kind in many senses, but stay with me), but not a whole lot of the revenues trickle down to me. Thus I have to pause from my hosting endeavors to write the odd baseball doodad (don't get me wrong, ye who publish them; I am grateful), contemplate gainful employment, and take out the trash without the help of liveried servants. Or un-liveried servants. Or imaginary friends.

More seriously, I would like to keep producing the show, but it's going to take a while before it returns revenues that are commensurate with the effort. Those revenues would allow me to do more to make the show a better experience and one that is more widely experienced. For one thing, I could hire on the kind of help I need to do some extras that the constant delivery schedule prohibits me from pursuing in timely fashion. Thus, I am gently, humbly, abashedly requesting that if you enjoy my efforts, you help support the show. I do hereby solemnly swear that if you do so I will labor, well, just as hard as I have been to entertain and inform you.
