I've been sharing my simple vegan recipes on my blog, The Lazy Vegan Baker, for almost 3 years because I want everyone to see how easy it is to make vegan food.

Currently, this website is a labor of love as I enjoy cooking and baking and sharing my creations. But the cost of ingredients and the time involved to create the recipe, which usually has to be tested several times, take and edit the pictures, compose the post, and create and edit videos is intensive. One blog post is anywhere between 6-10 hours of work.

Most food bloggers make money by signing up for ad-running programs and this offsets the costs a little or a lot, depending on the blog. Or they become sponsors or affiliates for certain brands. I purposefully don't have ads on my site because I don't like taking the chance that they'll be meat-centric or something that I do not support. My goal is to promote plant-based eating and when an ad for hotdogs shows up at the top of the page, it just isn't ok with me.  Also, I think ads look ugly and are detrimental to the flow and ease of use of my website.

I have worked with several brands in showcasing their products, but I do this because I love the product, not because I'm getting paid. I want to spread the word about brands I love but I don't want to feel indebted to that company or have the company's needs trump that of my own personal vision because I need the money. In addition, I feel like too much brand promotion waters down the content and trustability of my posts. I don't want to be a shill :-D.

By donating, you allow me to continue to tinker away in my kitchen and share my discoveries with the world at no cost and help spread the vegan message; cooking without cruelty is easy.

Thank you! I adore you all!
