I have anxiety. I’m guessing if you are here, you may as well. If that’s the case, you are in the right place. A few years ago, I started realizing that a key way to manage my anxiety was through adopting a mindset around reducing and refusing - and thus, learning to live a simple life. For me, that was found through mindful and intentional living, minimalism/decluttering, and zero waste living.

I want to help you adopt a mindset around reducing in order to manage your anxiety as well – because you it does not have to consume you. Plus – you deserve it!


Besides ‘reducing’, I love all things Harry Potter, edible cookie dough, and musicals. Additionally, I’m a mom, wife, nature photographer, proud Minnesotan, outdoor enthusiast, food lover, cat lover, gardener, and so much more.


Finally, I'm a big advocate for working with what you have within the season of life that you are in. I am very privileged to live in a city that provides easy access to a number of things that make reducing things in my life possible, but I know that is not possible for everyone. I try to keep my content as inclusive of all different lifestyles as possible. 

And while I have my own resource limitations, I want to do what I can to provide materials to others who may not have access to them for whatever reason. 

There are four main ways I do this:
  • Provide free, valuable content on  The Mindful Mom Blographer on how to manage your anxiety (through mindful and intentional living, minimalism, and zero waste living) through my blog itself, social media platforms, free courses, and email list. My material will always stay free so it can be accessed by anyone who is interested in learning!
  • Create online communities through my Facebook groups where people can ask questions, learn from others, share with others, seek encouragement and support, and more
  • Sharing food grown in my garden in my local community and plants (some food type plants) to those in my local community.
  • Upcycle second-hand clothing (prioritizing shirts - especially kids clothing) that have slight stains and holes into reusable produce bags to give out in my local community and online community for those who may not have access to their own for whatever reason. Currently, the bags are being donated to my local community's farmer's market for vendors to hand out to buyers instead of plastic bags


Anxiety Stories
One final piece of my blog is the series I launched at the start of 2019 called 'Anxiety Stories | Normalizing Anxiety in Today's World'. This series is a collection of interviews with people who deal with anxiety daily. The goal of the series is to help break down the mental health stigma, to show people that the symptoms they are experiencing are normal, and also to provide resources tried by others that have helped them. The series has been published in Thrive Global, Authority Magazine, and will be included in a Buzzfeed roundup post in the near future.
