When I was a child I read to escape the world. The words on the page would come to life and paint a moving picture in my head. Of course, I'd end up spending hours with my nose in a book. When I was young, I never thought about being a writer; it's usually the things right under our noses that we love the most and never recognize. I was fortunate, in my second year of college while pursuing a degree in Cinematography I was required to take a scriptwriting class. That class changed my life, making me realize my truest passion was as a storyteller. Within a semester I had changed my major to English Creative Writing and for the first time felt the relief of knowing what I loved.

Now as a graduate, I write, a lot. I want to keep on writing every day, to envision new worlds for others to escape into just like I did throughout my life. This is my way of giving back to the writers of my life, by slaving away on the keyboard to become the best writer I can ever be. I know, this is a never-ending journey and a process that will continue until the day I die. But I just can't help myself, successful or not I want to write. I want to grow my craft, and I want to entertain my readers. If you pledge to me, just know you are helping a young man fulfill his dream. So, I want to commit myself to you, and promise you now that I will never stop growing as a writer. That I will always be writing something new. And that by taking that pledge and signing on with me I will promise you a never-ending cycle of entertaining content meant to enthrall you for hours on end, until the day I die.

To that end, let me fill you in on what I am doing today. I maintain a regular blog (four posts a week) with flash fiction and relaxing reads, all typically under 1000 words. I'm working on upping my daily word-count to be over 2000 a day, and the blog / my novels are helping me to get there. I am working on a novel right now titled The Russian, and I have two other projects planned for the beginning of next year. One a collection of short stories, another a fantasy novel that I hope would make Tolkien proud.

I want to be a writer full time and that's why I'm starting this Patreon; in the hopes that in the future I won't have to work a regular job AND write nonstop. The more goals we can hit together, the more I can grow and give back to you. So please, pledge to me today, and let's get started building new worlds together!
