INTERVIEW QUESTIONS + Q&A + ALL PREVIOUS BENEFITS

This is NOT Mums Gone Wild. What it IS is a chance to submit your own questions for anyone we interview, and get involved with the Q&A session I will hold (live, by video, or unlive from my hiding place under a desk, depending) every 3 months.

Okay fine, that sounds a bit like Mums Gone Wild, but honestly for $3 a month you'd be lucky.

Plus!

About

Welcome to THE NAUGHTY STEP, a weekly parenting newsletter that won't tell you how to sleep-train, or judge you for using your phone at the playground, at the school gates, or even (assuming you manage to get three minutes' peace) on the loo. Instead...

Each issue contains
  • Interviews with – and columns by – parents in unusual situations
  • The best parenting hacks
  • The funniest parenting memes
  • Honest product reviews
  • Internet rabbit-holes that aren't necessarily parenting-related, but can distract you from the night-feed, and remind you that you're a human being, not just a parent.

You can also

  • Pose your parenting problems to parenting experts and The Naughty Step community
  • Sign up for exclusive competitions and giveaways
  • Get your point across by guest-writing for The Naughty Step
  • Join the quarterly Q&A
  • And more!

Who even are you and why are you charging for this newsletter?

I'm Robyn Wilder – freelance journalist and knackered mum of two small boys. Among other things I write a parenting column for HuffPost UK, and I'm currently working on a book about mental health. I also used to be the Up With The Kids parenting editor for The Pool (RIP), and I launched The Naughty Step to plug the parenting gap when the site closed.

The Patreon membership programme helps to pay for The Naughty Step's hosting, Mailchimp account, branding bits and bobs, and the odd cup of coffee for me. Mainly it allows me to keep writing my take on parenting without sailing too close to bankruptcy.

Is it all just you wanging on about being a mum, then?
Oh, no! We also have guest columns from Stuart Heritage – author, (mumble) my husband, and the Man-With-A-Pram columnist from The Guardian's Family section (RIP); the eco-friendly adventures and failures of Belfast-based Rachel DoranRebecca SchillerNikesh Shukla, and more.

Hmm, let me read a couple of issues first

I have FEEDBACK! I want you to INTERVIEW ME! I want you to FEATURE MY PRODUCT! Please and THANK YOU!
Fantastic! Please email me or find me on Twitter! Thankyouloveyoubye!
