Since starting The Nerdy Girl News, I’ve been on a mission: to let nerds and otaku's know it’s okay to be who they are. You’re not broken because you’re quiet. There’s nothing wrong with you because you’d rather stay home on a Friday night watching anime than go party.

Blogging is my passion and I want to be able to help others who felt the way I once did: worthless and unlovable. Because we do deserve to be happy. YOU do.

So now I’m an aniblogger, helping other otaku’s and nerds like me find their own happiness. This is what inspired me to create The Nerdy Girl News.

Throughout this blog, I’ll help tackle issues such as going in-depth about what having depression and anxiety really is. There will be “taboo” topics such as suicide, which I will always post warnings beforehand as they can be a trigger for some of us. Most of these posts will be about lifting up your self-esteem and becoming comfortable in your own skin.

On the other side, there will be other posts dealing with cosplays and how you can make the outfits as well! I love finding cheaper ways than just buying a hundred dollar outfit online. Cosplay has been such an outlet for me and I know for others as well. It helps with depression so much and I can’t wait to share this world with you.

Hence why I made this Patreon account. With your help, I can expand my writing even further and keep this blog up and running with the best content. Patreon's will get exclusive content that will only be available to them.

But, it takes time and money to run a major website. There are costs like hosting fees, maintenance fees, email service fees, etc.

That’s why I’m asking for your help. When you give on Patreon, you’re supporting me and the otaku cause. You’re helping us grow and reach more introverted nerds. You’re helping spread the message that it’s okay to be a fan of anime and manga.

If The Nerdy Girl News has helped your life in some way, would you consider donating? If every reader gave as little as $1 a month, we’d be unstoppable.

And as always, keep smiling my friends.

Goals
$0 of $100 per month
When I reach $100 per month, I'll release my novel: FINALLY! I'll also be able to expand my blog even further and help more people through anime fan theories and cosplay.
