About The NeuroNerds

In 2016, at 39 years old, Joe Borges suffered a stroke which, interestingly enough, changed his life for the better. He ended up gaining a new lease on life and now he is on a mission to live it to the fullest. Inspired to share his experience with other stroke and brain injury survivors along with anyone else who will listen, he created The NeuroNerds podcast. He along with his co-host, Lauren Manzano, who is also a brain injury survivor, talk recovery, offer tips for coping and thriving.
Plus they're both big nerds and fans of all things comics, movies and pop culture which is always an underlying theme in every episode. Laugh, learn, cry, be uplifted and inspired by Joe, Lauren and the various guests featured on this weekly podcast.  And if you appreciate Joe and his show's mission, please join our NeuroJedi High Council by supporting us here.  We may not be the best at Jedi mind tricks due to our slightly broken brains, but we can wield the power of The Force with the best of them. :)

This isn't the only way to help. Reviewing the show on iTunes or whichever podcast platform you prefer; spreading the word by telling others, especially fellow stroke and brain injury survivors, about the show; or just listening and sharing on your socials are other ways if you can't afford to spare some change. But if you can, we hope you will consider backing us here. Thanks for helping us create a stroke/brain injury survivor community.
