About The Nexus TV

What is The Nexus?

The Nexus is a network of podcasts where we talk about the manifestations of the technological convergence: consumer technology reviews, developer news, and discussions of issues facing our digital society. We love discussing, speculating, and exploring the future.

Our shows

The Extra Dimension features deep discussions between host Ian R Buck and a variety of guests on how technology intersects with other parts of our lives. Welcome to the heart of the technological convergence.
Second Opinion is a reviews show about anything and everything under the sun. If we can experience it, we can review it. The only thing better than an opinion is a second opinion!
PodKit is a show about Apple inclined Web Developers discussing interesting technology and development related topics, with hosts Brian Mitchell, Brandon Johnson and Ryan Rampersad.
Robots Will Steal Your Job, But That's OK is an audiobook that explores the impact of technological advances on our lives, what it means to be happy, and provides suggestions on how to avoid a systemic collapse. Written by Federico Pistono and read by Ian R Buck.
Control Structure is a podcast about computer science, IT news, stories, opinions, tips, and tricks for programmers, testers, administrators of all types and more, for fun or for profit hosted by Andrew Bailey and Steven Orvis. And also some other things, just because they are cool.
In Bootcamp is a limited-run series about Matthew Petschl's experience at a local coding bootcamp and journey to software engineer, featuring Ryan Rampersad with industry commentary.

Why we are seeking your support

Our shows have always been released for free online, and that will never change. We would love to take them to the next level, and that's where you come in! Most other podcasts make money from sponsorships, but we want to avoid any potential conflict of interest that would introduce; our responsibility should always be first and foremost to our listeners. With your support, we will be able to recoup file hosting costs, spend more time and attention to improving quality, buy products to review, and seek out guests who are experts in their fields.

We know that you have lots of media competing for your attention, and many other ways you could use your money that would directly benefit you; we deeply appreciate and are humbled by any support you can give us, whether a one-time donation or monthly contributions.
