In this day and age, video games have become a staple of entertainment for a large number of families and especially children. 20 years ago, this would have been perfectly acceptable as the video games that were produced were done so solely for arcade-usage and for childrens' home entertainment consoles. However, as the children that once played those games have matured, so too has the game industry. Video games have quickly become a multi-billion dollar industry that creates product for individuals of almost every age range. The downside of this fact is that a multitude of games produced today are produced for adults, not children.

With this evolution in the gaming industry, many parents have been left unawares or under-informed concerning the content of a large number of games. In response, the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) rating system was established and enforced in order to reduce the amount of questionable content being sold to children. Sadly, much like movie rating systems, the ESRB is unable to properly highlight the full extent of everything on product boxes; and, while the ESRB does provide game reviews and highlights of this content, they by definition must remain impartial and cannot provide reviews on the quality of the title in question. On the flipside, many game reviewers have popped up to highlight the quality of games hitting the market; yet a phenomenal number of these reviewers gear their reviews towards the gamers themselves rather than the community of parents.

Having worked in the video game industry for some time, I have personally noticed a great deal of parents having very little knowledge and many concerns about the games they are buying their children. The sole purpose of this site is to combine these two opposing faults and create cohesive reviews of the newest titles on the market for parents interested in the games their children are playing.

Finally, while I hope to cover as much as possible in my reviews and answer any questions that you may have concerning the quality and content, I fully accept that I cannot cover ever problem or facet of a title. If you ever have a question that I have not answered I encourage you to contact me via e-mail and I will do my best to get back to you within a timely manner. I also highly encourage you to visit the ESRB website (also provided in the links section on the main page) if you have further concerns.

Sincerely,
