The Prepared exists for a simple reason: To help smart people prepare for careers doing serious work. We're on Patreon to pay for the expenses and time that it takes to host, distribute, and manage The Prepared.

The funds we raise here are used to cover both the direct costs of running a website and newsletter (hosting, email management, the time and efforts of our editors) and also to invest in new initiatives and original content.
