Hi! My name is Patrick Everitt from Brownsville, Texas and I host The Cheers Podcast. We are pleased to announce that on March 12, 2018 The Cheers Podcast will be available to the public. Anyone can stream or download our content for free on iTunes, SoundCloud, Stitcher, or TuneIn.

This podcast is a long-form conversation with friends and guests about life in the Rio Grande Valley and topics that are important to us. We want to document and share the voices and stories of this border town with the world.

The mainstream media outlets have one narrative of our area, while our guests and this podcast live another. We will expose you to people that live in this borderland and let them respond to national discussions about immigration, violence, border security, and drugs, to name a few.

We will make this as real as possible so it can be informative and representative for the listener, but not dull or depressing for the ones attempting to remain sane.

The Cheers Podcast will be publishing an episode every month. Production is made possible by listener subscriptions. Without fans and patron subscribers we will not be able to produce these important stories during this pivotal time.

Please check out our First Episode - Days of Festivals. The episode highlights Brownsville’s annual celebration of Charro Days and Sombrero Fest. Make a pledge on our patreon page today and follow us on social media. SoundCloud | Facebook | Twitter | Website| Patreon
