At the Gemini tier, we take a detour from the serious history of The Space Above Us for something a little more fun and goofy. At this tier you get all rewards from previous tiers as well as access to my commentary on top of various space movies. The way it works is you cue up the movie (which you have to get on your own) and an MP3 from me. Start the MP3, wait for me to count down and start the movie at the same time I do. Instant space movie commentary! You'll get access to all available commentaries, including new ones as they come out. Currently planned: Apollo 11, Apollo 13, Armageddon, Gravity, Space Camp, Space Cowboys, The Martian, First Man, Deep Impact and more!

At the Apollo tier, you get all rewards from previous tiers and you gain access to the voice channel on the The Space Above Us Discord channel. Join me for a monthly voice chat and Q&A where we'll discuss space, podcasts, games, and whatever else is on your mind!

About The Space Above Us

The Space Above Us is a bi-weekly podcast about the history of NASA human spaceflight. It starts with Freedom 7, the first flight of Project Mercury, and will someday end with STS-135, the final flight of the space shuttle. In the meantime, it covers every mission in-between in chronological order. So if you're interested in Project Mercury, the X-15, Project Gemini, the Apollo Program, Skylab, Apollo-Soyuz Test Project, and the Space Shuttle, this is the place for you.

The podcast is available free of charge on the show's website (, but I created this Patreon in response to some very generous listeners who wanted to contribute. You're welcome to listen to every episode without sending me a dime. After all, it's meant to be listened to! But if you want to kick a few bucks my way to show your appreciation, now you can.

Contributions will help me buy source material, cover the meager costs of hosting the show, and go towards the occasional beer or video game for the times that I'm not digging through decades-old NASA documents.
