Hi there. I'm making simple, philosophically grounded apps for iOS.

My first project is Finitude, which lets you write and send reminder to yourself about the things in your life that matter most. Periodically, on a random day, the app sends you these reminders along with a more general reminder of your mortality: how many months you might have left to live. You can find it at finitude.app.

A second (planned) app, Cosmic Walk, is based on Carl Sagan’s “Cosmic Calendar” and installations like the “Cosmic Pathway” at New York’s Hayden Planetarium. It compresses the history of the universe into a five kilometre walk, sending notifications along the way about significant events in the history of the cosmos. (At this scale, all of human history, from the end of the ice age, ~12,000 years ago, spans just four millimetres.) You can find out more at cosmicwalk.app.

Both apps are free, have no ads, and don't collect any personal information.

Becoming a patron will help me keep things this way, and work with programmers and designers who actually know what they're doing to maintain and improve them.

Tiers
Agape
$2 or more per month

All tiers have the same, single benefit: the list of Finitude's easter eggs – the notes, images and jokes hidden throughout the app. And of course, the steady, internal glow that one gets from supporting a project they like.

Phenomena
$5 or more per month

• Same as Level 1 (Agape) Tier

Noumena
$10 or more per month

• Same as Level 1 (Agape) Tier
