About

The What Podcast
is a weekly podcast by two Bonnaroo veterans exploring and highlighting some of the lesser known acts announced for this year's festival. Brad Steiner and Barry Courter are two experienced Bonnaroovians from Chattanooga, Tennessee - just 70 miles from Manchester. Brad is on the air at Hits 96 (WDOD Chattanooga) and Barry writes for the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

Each week, Brad and Barry do a deep dive into the artists and explore their songs, stories, and their journey to the stage at this year's Bonnaroo festival. Along the way, they share some of their own stories from their combined experience on The Farm. Occasionally, you'll also hear interviews with some of the artists as well as industry insiders like Ashley Capps (AC Entertainment) and Jim Burress (Columbia Records).

The What Podcast has had over 80,000 downloads in more than 30 countries. We love our listeners and interact with them quite frequently. (Even call them on the show sometimes!) Stay tuned, and thanks for listening!

Subscribe to The What Podcast on SpotifyApple Podcasts or Google Play and visit thewhatpodcast.com to listen anytime and submit your feedback. Share your Bonnaroo experiences or drop us a tip on a new artist we haven't talked about yet. We'd love to hear from you! Follow along with us on Twitter, too: @thewhat_podcast

First of all, don't worry. This is not a "paywall" to our content. The What Podcast will continue to be a free show available on all your favorite podcast apps. For the last three years, we have been producing the podcast without any advertising help, either through sponsorships or paying for promoted posts on social media. We have found a great audience completely naturally by word of mouth and we greatly appreciate everyone who listens and supports what we do. We've come up with some great rewards to offer those who really want to support us the most - from swag like t-shirts and stickers, to one-of-a-kind gifts like mix tapes and also exclusive and bonus content from the show. By becoming a Patreon, you'll be joining an exclusive group of Bonnaroo fans who we love interacting with, and occasionally request input and feedback for future shows.

We are also ready to branch out and find new ways to offer content and value to our subscribers. Recently we started a YouTube channel and we plan to record and upload future episodes there so they can be watched there, too. There is a lot of work that goes into producing each show, including research, planning, recording, editing, and publishing. 100% of the money from Patreon goes back into each episode, so that we can create the highest quality Bonnaroo podcast we can.

Recently we've been live streaming each episode, exclusive to all Patreon members!

Additionally, all tiers will get an invite to #campnutbutter, our special channel on Discord. There we talk Bonnaroo news, opinions, and more!

Not ready to join? We still love you! And you can still support The What Podcast by sharing our show with others. Know someone who's a first timer going to Bonnaroo this year? Send them some episodes to get them up to speed. Every like, retweet, and share on social media helps us out, and we love getting comments as well.
