Zvi Mowshowitz

Hi, I'm Zvi Mowshowitz. I write Don't Worry About the Vase (thezvi.wordpress.com) which is also posted to LessWrong. Over 2020, this morphed into becoming primarily a place to post weekly Covid-19 updates, which have grown in length and required effort. I've kept writing the weekly posts because someone has to, and no one else did. Many seem to find them helpful. I write to better understand the world and create clarity, and help others do the same, and perhaps to help influence the discourse in ways that let us all make better decisions. Yes, I'm the Zvi Mowshowitz from the Magic Hall of Fame. In my day job I'm making a new digital card game on the Tezos blockchain, and I will sometimes write about games and game design.  I am fortunate that I can afford for now to devote a lot of time to such efforts, and do so without need to worry about money. This is not what I do for a living. You should feel zero obligation to pay me anything!  I also won't be locking any posts behind paywalls any time soon, as I want everyone to be able to read my work. I don't have formal tiers here, but as you give more money I'll give a higher priority to engaging with comments and questions, offer advice or feedback, and so forth.   But money is everywhere and always appreciated, and is both motivating and helpful. If funded, that will help keep me motivated and writing, and will justify putting in more hours, and paying for editing, better hosting, various subscriptions and so forth. If things took off enough, this could even become what I do for a living. I'd like that a lot.
