For Students To Write Their Best, They Need To Think Their Best

Think2Write is the new generation version of the essay writing apps Essay CzarEssay Writing Workstation and Essay Writing Wizard that sold successfully in the Apple App Store for 8 years, from 2009-16.

Used in over 400 schools by teachers who acquired bulk licenses and personally bought by high school and college students, the apps were listed multiple times as top language arts apps and featured several times in the App Store and other publications. These apps brought organized, critical thinking-based essay writing via mobile devices to students who were never before systematically taught this type of writing.

If students think essay writing is fundamentally about words, sentences and paragraphs, then this book is exactly what they need to learn how to write excellent essays and papers. Why? Because writing is fundamentally about logic, critical analysis and argument construction - these three elements are what make an essay a good one.

An essay can only convey what you (the student) have already thought about well enough to explain in a predetermined number of words. More importantly, even the most carefully chosen words and exquisite composition cannot hide illogic and weak arguments. Simply put, think illogically and uncritically, then you will write illogically and uncritically, and ultimately, unconvincingly.

Therefore, the keys to writing a good essay are learning and understanding analytical and critical thinking skills and proactively using these skills to develop solid arguments. Then, and only then, can your essay become a roadmap for readers to fully understand what you have written.

For beginning writers, such as middle and high school students, this guide saves endless hours of frustration in learning how to write essays because the words flow much easier when a student truly understands what s/he wants to say.

For college students, Think2Write provides essay and paper writing guidelines for more complex and involved assignments to ensure an essay prompt is properly and fully addressed using logic and critical analysis expected by college professors.

Now that you understand what Think2Write is all about, we invite you to study the Rewards section and choose which level of patron is best for you, your child, or students you know.

                        Critical Thinking Is Ideologically Neutral

Irrespective of political orientation and religious beliefs or the absence thereof, all students benefit from being able to properly analyze information to arrive at a reasoned position that is in alignment with their overall values.

It follows that useful discourse occurs only when each participant is employing critically developed positions and arguments. There is no other way for cogent analyses of disparate issues to be achieved.

Our approach is focused on the teaching of writing and critical thinking, so all students and families that desire such an educational foundation can affordably attain one.

                                Think2Write: Essay Writing Guide

This guide contains detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to properly understand, develop and organize 25+ different types of essays - all from a critical thinking perspective.

While the structure of most essays is essentially the same (introduction, body paragraphs, rebuttal, conclusion), the purpose of each essay type is distinct.

This is why a compare and contrast essay is not the same as a cause and effect essay, and both of those are very different from an opinion essay, even if all three address similar subject matter. One has to approach each essay type with its own premise, set-up and analysis in order to correctly formulate and write it.

Think2Write's guide is designed so that a student never again gets stuck or confused about how and what to think about and how and what to write about when developing a particular type of essay.

Goals
7 of 2000 patrons
Our goal consists of three distinct parts:

Part 1: Wide-Scale Distribution to Students

Think2Write provides proprietary essay writing and critical thinking tutorials and forums to students, including those who do not have the latest high-end mobile device or computer. We believe every student deserves to be taught how to think critically and write well.

Part 2: Interactive, Critical Thinking Community

Think2Write is an interactive, engaging community where students (patrons only) can ask writing questions and get constructive answers. Answers are also uniquely designed to teach critical thinking skills, while providing writing assistance. Ever wonder if you are writing something correctly? Ever wonder if you are using the correct paragraph order and structure? Ever wonder if your logic and reasoning are correct? Just ask, and you will get assistance. We follow the concept that there are no such things as stupid or dumb questions, so ask away. Students also acquire skills that help them succeed in other course beyond just writing essays.

To accomplish our goal, Think2Write is increasing accessibility of our proprietary content across multiple platforms and distribution methods. Second, we are making it more affordable and simpler for students to receive one-on-one writing assistance. Third, our new approach is set up to be student, family and school budget-friendly, so no one has to worry about paying a bill every time a student needs writing assistance. And fourth, we have also made it so an individual, a company, or an organization can sponsor an entire class, sports team, or even school with essay writing and critical thinking instruction - all by simply becoming a patron.

1) The eBook, accessible and readable on all desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, is available here:
eBook: http://amzn.to/2paidxg
iBook: apple.co/2p3ANs0
2) Paperback is also available in the Amazon BookStore: Paperback: http://amzn.to/2HoMIXW
Note: All patrons get an electronic PDF version of the above Essay Writing Guide!
3) Students get one-on-one assistance with development of essays and writing projects.
4) Weekly online forum for students to ask questions about their writing assignments.
5) A monthly instructional critical thinking newsletter that teaches students the specifics of analytical and critical thinking, as these skills pertain directly and specifically to writing well. Each newsletter covers a different aspect of critical thinking. First issue to be published October 30, 2018.
6)
An individual or a company can sponsor rewards for a student(s) they know.

The end-results are wider, easier access to Think2Write's critical thinking-based essay writing instructional content and the capability to get these materials into hands of students who could not access them before.

Part 3: Mobile App

Think2Write is currently reviewing many ways to improve the Essay Writing WorkStation mobile app from which the Think2Write concept and content came. And, upon reaching 2000 patrons, we will go forward and build the new application.

Many ideas are being vetted and studied, with the intention of creating a writing platform where students are guided to think critically when writing essays and papers.

This is not about creating a high-end composition, style-checker, or grammar-checking application; it is about taking the Essay Writing Workstation platform and making it fully interactive and responsive to teach students how to think critically, as they write, by taking advantage of the latest mobile software capabilities - things have changed tremendously since our launch in 2009.

Essay Writing Workstation and its associated sister apps are no longer available in the Apple App Store because after 8 years we reached the conclusion that the design and business model had run its course. And, there was literally no way to transition to Think2Write's new model, while having the first generation applications still available.

We project development of the Think2Write app would take 4 to 6 months once actual coding of the new features begins.

Thank You

We thank all patrons in advance for joining us in our goal of making analytical and critical thinking skills and complementary essay writing skills a part of as many students' education as possible.
