We've hooked quality writers and will splash their names in the sky. We've created worlds and built up our characters. But wouldn't you like to see your name in shiny lights too? Or at least in the credits? We'll be sure to thank all our supporters at the end of our videos or podcasts.
Once upon a time, writer, philosopher, and academic G.K. Chesterton had to publish a serious, scholarly article to defend his love of "fairy stories" as a grown man. Now, thanks to him and his fellow Inklings buddies Tolkien and Lewis, a love for fantasy is acceptable among all ages, races, and genders. Help us continue that legacy and keep quality speculative fiction in the hands of all readers. Get exclusive access to audio or visual recordings of the first chapter of each of our books. Currently, we publish about one book a month.
Our books are turned into visual masterpieces with the Artist's Touch. Each month, you'll be given an artist's rendition of one of our books. It could be a character, map, landscape, or whatever else our staff artists come up with!
We’re Thinklings Books, LLC, and we adore fantasy and science fiction. As in, seriously adore it. We got into the book biz because we couldn’t stop reading. Whole second-hand bookstores have been supported by our passion for good, quality novels.
In fact, we read so much that we started running out of really superb new books to read . . . so we decided we’d better find and publish more.

Officially, Thinklings Books, LLC, was founded in June 2019 ... if you ask the Ohio Business Registrar. Unofficially, it started in 2003, when Jeannie first heard about Sarah. Jeannie was eating in the college cafeteria with some acquaintances, one of whom was Sarah's roommate. The Roommate had moved into other friends' dorm rooms because she was worried Sarah was a witch, due to her obsessive love of all things Harry Potter and because of her "scary" poster of Frodo holding the One Ring. Jeannie was intrigued and asked Sarah to be her roommate. Together, along with their mentor and fellow fantasy-lover Donald T. Williams, they formed the writing group Inklings Too, an homage to their writing heroes J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis.
In 2012, Jeannie stumbled upon Deborah by accident when looking for an editor for her first novel, which she had decided to self-publish. Eventually, Jeannie brought Deborah and Sarah on at The Ghostwriting Agency, which worked with agents, authors, and publishers to produce quality manuscripts for authors who struggled with the writing aspect. It was here the three editors first realized many published books weren't written by or fully by the author.
As the company grew, Jeannie began working with talented writers to build their platforms. These writers had been told by publishers and agents that their books were amazing, but they needed to increase their number of social media followers to get published. While Jeannie worked the marketing angle, Deborah and Sarah continued to polish subpar manuscripts by superstars.
Then one day, Deborah got a flash of inspiration! Good writers put their time into good writing, not good marketing. Jeannie knew from the inside that even if these talented writers got traditional publishing contracts, their time was spent more and more on promotion and less on writing. All three had noticed that their favorite authors' quality tended to slide, the more books they came out with.
So, in late 2018 and early 2019, we began reaching out to our industry contacts and found lots of support. Ali Chehab, a fellow autoimmune warrior with Jeannie and Sarah, was the first to join, officially as Jeannie's assistant, but her skills in management and communication saw her handling more and more. Next, Sarah's husband, Oscar, had to join out of necessity. His background in IT made him absolutely essential. Jeannie's co-author on a number of self-publishing projects, Michal Sta, had become a sought-after Amazon advertising expert. His nickname is the Book Resurrector. Nada Orlic, of Erelis Designs, who had worked extensively as the cover designer for The Ghostwriting Agency, jumped at the chance to help us with our covers and graphic design. David and Seth Stringham, cousins, joined as media and business consultants when Thinklings Books hit the wall with their own expertise. And finally, Toca Kytle, Jeannie's talented and artistic niece, was asked to be an intern and artist. Toca also adds an incredibly cool, ephemeral element and some Gen-Z savviness to the company.
