Hi, I'm Thinreaper and welcome to my Patreon! Whether you're just watching my videos or liking/subscribing/sharing them, you're already making an enormous difference in helping my channel grow! But if you're considering doing that little bit extra or you're just new to my channel and what to know more, let me take a second to tell you what I do and how your funding would mean the absolute world to me.

MY CHANNEL

Right now I have 3 kinds of videos:

In-depth Reviews - Where I thoroughly critique every aspect of a game's design including gameplay, story, visuals, setting and music. These will often be older games from the PS3/360 era and I particularly enjoy examining popular titles which perhaps never received any form of critical analysis.

Overlooked Games - A shorter, more informal series where I highlight an interesting or innovative aspect of a game's design which I think has been overlooked in some way in terms of audience or industry recognition. Basically a love letter to games that I think had some really cool ideas and wish more developers had sat up and taken notice of.

Game Design Analysis - Where I take a detailed look at a specific aspect of a game's design. I try to make sure I'm offering a fresh take on a game; something that hasn't been discussed before, even if the games themselves may have already been extensively written about.

YOUR FUNDING

Your funding could help me produce more content.
My videos take an extremely long time to write, record and edit. For the last two years I have tried to juggle working my day job with producing content in my spare time, but it's often difficult to find a balance between the two as the need to pay bills will always win out in the end. Your contribution could help me financially and allow me to spend more time producing these videos and maybe one day even make a living doing something I truly love!

WHY PATREON?

Patreon is a platform that allows you, the fans, to directly fund content that you enjoy, without any third party influence. I really think that YouTube, coupled with Patreon, is changing the way we consume video game media. It means that content creators can work independently; free from the pressures and influence of publishers, deadlines, advertisers and distributors. Patreon feels like the only truly viable method for me to be able to support myself financially from making videos without having to compromise in any way.

HOW IT WORKS

I always strive to upload at least once a month but as my videos can take so long to create, I'm not always able to meet that deadline so I think a 'per video' approach to funding is the fairest. Paid videos do not include Overlooked Games episodes, you'll only ever be paying for the longer, more difficult to write/research In-depth Reviews or Game Design videos. The max I'll ever upload is once per month so whatever you pledge, it would be a monthly pledge at the absolute most.

YOUR REWARDS

I only have two reward tiers. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable withholding cool rewards to people who perhaps can't afford to pledge as much as others, so for $5 a month you get everything

- Written blogs where I'll talk about my video progress/channel updates/video ideas etc
- Audio blogs where I discuss interesting topics/industry news
- A personal thank you at the end of every video
- Audio commentaries critiquing my previous videos, offering insight into the writing/editing.
- Polls on which games you'd like me to review next (from a selection of my choosing).
- 24 Hour early access to videos.

Basically, everything I can think of and can realistically deliver! (I'm also open to suggestions if there's something else people would like to see). There will also be a $1 a month pledge for people that aren't bothered about the rewards but would still like to donate something.
Tiers
$1 Tier
$1 or more per video 9 patrons
For $1 per video you'll get access to

- Written Blogs  discussing video progress, channel updates, new ideas for videos etc.

- Your Name in the Credits at the end of every paid video.

- Audio Reviews of various games, as and when I play them.

$5 Tier
$5 or more per video 3 patrons
As well as the rewards for the $1 tier, $5 patrons will get access to:

- Audio blogs discussing industry news, videos I've been

watching, games I've been playing etc.
- Audio commentaries for previous videos where I'll discuss aspects of the finished product I'm happy/unhappy with, insight into the writing/editing process and thoughts on the game that didn't make it to the final cut. This will be released with every paid upload.

- Early Access to videos 24 hours before they go public.

- A personal thank you read out at the end of every video for as long as you pledge support.

- Polls where you can vote on which game/idea you would like me to tackle next.

Goals
$27 of $100 per video
All money up to this amount will go straight back into the channel in some way. It has so far allowed me to invest in a better quality microphone, a decent mouse for editing and other general bits and bobs like a pop shield and basic soundproofing. At some point I'll need some more storage space/external harddrives or will likely just need to replace faulty/outdated equipment.
