We launched This Exists in December, 2013. Over the last year and a half, we've made weekly videos about rebel rap in Cuba and black metal Christians, libertarian seasteading and melting body horror. Because of that, This Exists has built up an amazingly diverse and interesting community of cool, smart, funny people around it. It's the best.
In April, 2015, the company that had been backing the channel opted to cancel production. It happens. But then they gave us the keys, which happens way less. So here we are - making new episodes of This Exists, on the same channel, with the same team, totally independently.
Which is why we need the help of you cool, smart, funny people. We love this show and we love the community around it, which is why we're working to find a way to keep making it. But there are ongoing costs that come with researching, writing, shooting, and editing a nice-looking show minus a building full of nice-looking equipment, and your support will go a long way towards prolonging the life of This Exists.
