This newsletter started out as a pet project in July 2018. The idea was that we're all busy, have lives, jobs, families, and we're all inundated with an unprecedented deluge of information every day. It's hard to keep up.
The idea is simple: ~this week in security~ hand-picks, condenses and curates the most interesting, must-know, important and valuable cybersecurity news and tidbits from the week in one easy-to-read, fun and engaging email newsletter. Every newsletter has all the newsy nuggets from the week, all the stuff you might have missed, — and each newsletter features a reader's "cybercat".
What makes me qualified? I'm a cybersecurity reporter and editor with 11+ years experience. I spent ten years covering security at ZDNet, and now serve as the security editor at TechCrunch.
Since it's debut, ~this week in security~ has gone out each week on Sunday for you to pore over your morning coffee. Just a year ago when scores of readers donated to keep the email newsletter sending service costs down, the newsletter had just 2,000 subscribers. Now it's over 5,300 subscribers and rising by the day. I'm so proud of how far it's come in such a short time.
The newsletter is free for anyone. This Patreon will help support me and the newsletter as it continues to grow, and it lets me finally give a little more back to dedicated subscribers.
