thr34d5 ('threads') is a community-orientated design practice that aims to provide relevant and scalable research that explores social resilience.

We are a multidisciplinary and international NGO fostering a radical inclusion. We are engaged in community auto-determination and empowerment through crafts and open-source knowledge. By mobilizing the local and global scales related to an agent, they can enhance their role as a caring citizen and provocateur for sustainable change in their community.

Our competencies are situated within areas of Computational Design and Performative-Design, Industrial Engineering, Structural Engineering, Advanced Digital Fabrication & Robotics, Architecture, Participative Urbanism and Design, Coastal Engineering, Creative Direction and Curation, Higher Education and Crash-Courses, and in Strategic Design

Currently, we are researching open sourcing access to drinkable water, ecological alternative to leather and open source interfaces that further promote inclusion.

We look forward to you joining us on this exciting journey!
