Note: VAT gets added to the tier prices on the right.

We want to make learning affordable to everyone and for as little as $1.50 per month (around £1 for people from Blighty) you will learn and get access to educational resource to cover the basics of a multitude subjects from Excel, HTML, Selenium to Access and Coding.

In addition, we believe that certain education to be free for everyone, Telecoms and IT in the home, small business information for technology and telecoms as well as IT security, along with some other free resources which you can find on our website www.thrace-enterprises.com. You can help us build out this resource with the "I'd buy that for a dollar" patreon package.

Education Main approaches
1. Document and video education
2. Hands on and Practical learning
3. Live Q&A sessions
4. Access to bespoke applications (that we make for you to learn on, like InsureTech environment for learning automated testing)

At a high level, this shows how we overlap content, from cyber crime to Excel.

Why are we doing this?

In the coming years it is expected that a lot of people will lose their jobs to automation, while the media and analyst companies are telling us that automation will create more jobs than it will cost, it is only expected to create jobs for people with digital expertise. That is not necessarily automation roles that will be created, it will be all manner of digital endeavours, but there are a lot of varying skills one individual is going to need to compete in the new world and there are numerous issues with the current education mediums available.

If we take something that is considered a simple digital tool, Excel for example, to become an expert in Excel using classroom based education you as an individual are looking at several thousand pounds worth of training. There are other options, something like Udemy already has a lot of courses available for a reasonable price, but you are looking at hundreds instead of thousands.

There are multiple problems with this. 1) Learning one technical element does not gain you digital expertise, you would need to learn multiple different types, Excel, HTML, Automation, Access in order to compete. 2) they generally only teach you about the tools, without analyses, solution design and testing skills, there is no real business application i.e. the experience and business knowledge side.

So currently in any medium, you generally need to spend a substantial amount to learn all of the skills required to be considered as having technical expertise, but then we fall into another quite significant problem. Everything you learn today can be obsolete tomorrow.

That is the age we live in, the digital age and a consequence of that age is how quickly skills can become obsolete, so any money you are spending in training has an unknown half life.

What is covered in the courses?

The plan is to constantly add in new course content and methods of working, always with a goal of creating something a working functional product. Our intention is to cover all things digital

  1. Excel, Visual Basic etc.
  2. HTML, CSS, PHP etc.
  3. Java, Javascript etc.
  4. Visual Studios, C# etc.
  5. Access, Database (of any type)
  6. SQL, MSQL
  7. Video/Audio editing
  8. the list goes on and is never ending
However, to begin with, we are going to focus on Automation and Data Analyses covering a variety of skills, we start off at a basic level on basic applications and then build our way up.

We see these as being the big hitters in the coming years where varying automation skills can be used and needed at multiple levels and business sizes
  • Data analyses – Varying industries
  • Decision Based applications – Insurance, Banking, Finance
  • eCommerce

Which covers these main types of automation
  • Keyword and Key phrase automation
  • Data analyses automation
  • Decision based automation
At the end of the first Expert course in automation, you would be able to build out a single tool that does this for the previously mentioned types of automation and industries.

  • Static Testing Tools
  • Analyses Tools
  • Data Analyses Tools
  • UI Automation Tools – HTML, Selenium IDE
  • UI Automation tools part 2 – C#, Visual Studios, Nunit and Selenium Webdriver
  • UI Automation Part 3 - BrowserStack
  • SQL Automation Tools – Report exports and query writers
  • Document outputs
In order to achieve this we will be teaching you skills and providing documentation for the following

  • Excel
  • Visual Basic
  • HTML
  • Selenium IDE and Selenese
  • Visual Studio and C#
  • Selenium Webdriver
  • SQL
  • Analyses
  • Solution Design
  • Testing (any Functional type, System Test, UAT etc.)
From there we have then built a good platform to go into other areas, Access Databases, Application design, web design CSS etc. but all with a view of training the skills into the required areas and job roles, like business analyst, data analyst, automation tester etc.

If I can leave you with any message it is this

As an individual, by becoming our patrons you will be investing in an affordable form of education where the content will forever grow and change which you will always have access to.

As a business, by becoming our patrons you will be investing in an affordable way to up skill your existing staff as opposed to replacing them. By sponsoring this endeavour you will help us create a fleet of people with digital expertise which will benefit you in the future, if not today.

As a large organisation, the volume of expertise you require is substantial and there are numerous issues with the current education system, from school to degree level and qualifications. By supporting us in increasing the spread and scope of technical expertise you are enabling us to help keep people not only up to date with education, but up-skilling individuals with existing and substantial business expertise of any level.

Say for example test automation using Selenium, you can learn parts of this with what is available on the Web but you will not get expertise unless you have practical application, on say something like an insurance policy management system.

At this level Patreon members will get access to working in depth and complex application and digital environments to learn on as well as everything in the previous tiers.
