About

Thanks for viewing my Patreon page.

I am Tim Beaudet and am working wheely hard to chase a dream of developing an immersive and realistic racing simulator, along with other independent games. Allowing others to contribute, should they so desire, seems like a logical step to make that happen. There is no assumption or expectation that anyone contributes to this marathon, but if you wish to help me refuel this is a place to help. Every little bit makes a difference. All the monies go directly into raising my independent game projects to the next level or bringing the racing simulator to life by;
  • Covering Server/Hosting Costs
  • Development Tools & Software
  • Learning Resources; Books/Classes
  • Contracting Quality Assets; Music/Sounds/Textures/Models

What is Patreon?

Patreon is a funding platform that allows others, like you, to tip and support content creators like me. Simply choose a reward tier (to the right) and it will be tipped each month that you remain a Patron. Each tier comes with its own rewards, but you can always chip more than the minimum.

Why Patreon?

Tim Beaudet's Indie Adventure is streamed live on twitch.tv/timbeaudet and aims to be as transparent as possible. Showing the frustrating and difficult times along with the happy-go-lucky moments. Each month the statistics of my adventure are published so others can see the difficulties of making games a business. I've created the Patreon because people like you wanted to support me and this offers a reasonable way to do just that.

Projects

Creating a Racing Simulator is a primary objective with the indie adventure. In the process I will be learning and writing an accurate physics simulation to power the cars. By writing my own physics code I can be in complete control of where shortcuts may be made (for running in real-time) vs using an existing framework that may have undocumented inaccuracies. It will fit in between Live for Speed and iRacing to bring together both casual and competitive sim racing.

Turbo Boom! is an extreme autocross racing game with explosive consequence. The project is just starting (July 2019) and is aimed to take 3 to 4 months to develop. Pictured below is a mockup / concept of where the game will go.

Archer is the first project in my Indie Adventure and was created in 7 weeks from concept to release at the start of 2018. Take on the role of a marksman Archer and adventure through Mount Doom's caverns. Careful, the slumbering dragon may not let you pass without first playing his games. Archery is a skill easy to learn yet difficult to master!

Tombstone Boo! was created during October 2018 to level up my artistic abilities. Play as a witch, riding a hexed broom around a cemetery, dodging hordes of ghosts trying to get in her way. Avoid as many of them as you can to get a high-score! How many werewolf howls can you hear?

Turtle Brains is the C++ game development framework that nearly all my games are based off. It allows fairly rapid development that is platform independent. Write the code once and ship on supported platforms; Windows, Mac and Linux.
