About Tipsy Wok
Who are you, and what the hell is a Tipsy Wok?My name is Yinan (rhymes with Zenon, Girl of the 21st Century), and I run a drunken cooking/food show called Tipsy Wok, where I drink and take people on an "edu-tational" dive through the world of food, through drunken cooking lessons, recipe reviews, live cooking sessions, restaurant reviews, etc., seeking to entertain with silly drunken antics and educate people about food and cooking. I have a strong passion for food, teaching, and entertainment, just as Bill Nye loves teaching science and Logan Paul loves being an attention whore.
OK… so what the balls is Patreon? If you're not familiar with Patreon, the concept is that you support a creator financially to create the content you know and love. I wouldn’t be doing it if I didn’t love it, but truth be told, a cooking and food show, is rather time- and money-consuming to continue to produce. I have a lot of ideas, but not a lot of time or resources to bring every single one to fruition. Patreon is for you if you’re inclined to want to help support those ideas.
Money, pls. I get it. What're you going to use it for, hookers and blackjack?Your support allows me to invest more into producing quality Tipsy Wok content- it helps me with the cost of food and drink materials, replacing and repairing video equipment, kitchen equipment, and so on and so forth- all the standard costs that come with producing a food-related YouTube show.
Currently I run around like a madman in my time off from my full time and side jobs every day of the week, trying to fund and get together everything for that week’s episode of Tipsy Wok and trying as hard as I can to not make it look like a rush job that gives little value. Financial support would not only ease some of that stress, but allow me to take more time to make BETTER quality videos- more b-roll, more time writing scripts, more time brainstorming ideas, etc., branching out to more types of cuisine than just Chinese, and delving into additional live streams and sharing the (attempted) live making of a dish.
What’s in it for me though? You'd be, selflessly, easing up some of the financial burdens of producing the show, but also you'd be enjoying some bonus content and posts. My goal for this Patreon is to reward the people who are helping me in this journey by setting up some tiers with some cool advantages, and trying to turn this place into a cool community; I’d love to be able to hear your thoughts on videos, bounce ideas off people, chat with the people who are kind and generous enough to support my dream to share my love of food and entertainment with the world.
Tipsy, I wanna help, but I’m broke, yo.That’s completely fine. Really. Please don’t become a patron if you’re struggling financially or low on funds, I know what that feels like. Don't feel any obligation. I’m going to continue educating and entertaining in the world of food so that you can keep enjoying it either way, because that’s my passion.
Either way, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this, for watching my videos and following my content, and for giving me an avenue to express my passions to the world.
