A brief introduction.

I am an artist. I create paintings yet I don’t use paint. I am a sculptor working in 3D space yet my materials are not tangible. I am not a conceptual artist because, let's face it, who would call themselves that?

I have used a variety of techniques and mediums and for the last few years I have focused primarily on contemporary technology. My current artwork includes colorful abstractions, hyper-realistic landscapes and occasionally an object or a figure. My recent works are about events: light being caught, and motion being caught and fixed in time. They are about immersion in other worlds, abstract and real.

I’ve been self-supporting (read working a day job) for my entire art making career. I’m looking now for sponsorships to produce my current work, which are large format pieces that are expensive to produce and frame.

What I present here are the current bits and pieces stemming from many obsessive art making years. Enjoy. See a more complete range of my artwork at my website.

Details:

Scale is usually a minimum of 42 inches in the smallest direction and up to and over 60 inches in the largest direction.

This work is fictional. These environments are created digitally over a period of several weeks, snapshots are taken within each environment, and these snapshots are rendered.

Production:
The rendered digital image is output at Typecraft in Pasadena, California, on an Epson Stylus Pro 9900 with UltraChrome K3™ inks onto UltraSmooth Fine Art Paper.

Finishing:
Normally my work is face-mounted on anodized aluminum by Fine Art Solutions with non-glare lexan providing a finished, archival, and highly protected artwork.

Thank you.
