Hi I'm Kevin Braddock, founder of
Torchlight System: Storytelling For Recovery.
Thanks for visiting this project on Patreon.

Torchlight System offers new tools and stories to help people to talk about, live with and recover from mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. We publish
• Torchlight: A Publication About Asking for Help, a beautiful, useful and candid print publication containing a story of the breakdown and recovery (mine: read about it here).
• Practice Cards: packs of playing cards showing 55 suggestions for dealing with depression and anxiety, or living in recovery. Shuffle the pack, pick two cards, try to carry out one suggestion and build positive habits every day. Practice Cards are a way to make a game out of getting better.

These have been incredibly well received so far, but there's a lot more to do. As the social conversation around mental health and illness is accelerating, we are developing more innovative products, services and experiences combining a publishing platform, recovery tools, video channel and community.

Why become a Patron? Because doing so will support us in developing more Torchlight System products and taking them to wherever people might need them: schools, universities, offices, treatment centres, surgeries and anywhere people are searching for help with depression and anxiety.

This year we are developing:
– A second volume of Practice Cards with an exciting new theme.
– A pocket-sized guide to the first volume of Practice Cards.
– A second volume of Torchlight, containing recovery stories from a range of writers.
– We also want to grow our YouTube channel into a knockout resource with vlogs explaining each of the 55 practice Cards, along with other mental health-related content: interviews, confessionals, essays and travelogues.
– And there are more products, services and experiences planned for next year.

These days it seems that everyone is touched by mental illness, either personally or through the struggles of someone close.
Your patronage and membership of our community will help us makes stuff that helps people.
