WHAT IS THIS SHOW ABOUT?

That's a good question. TPOP Creations is a new educational youtube series that tackles the big and complicated - from policy to history and social movements. We don't dabble in short and sweet soundbites. We like to get into topics without a simple solution. That is why our first run is dedicated to the intricacies of abortion in the United States: can you get one in your state; how does it work biologically and bureaucratically; who decides these things; and what is the history behind abortion? Our higher-level supporters will also get exclusive access to a bonus video on abortion in the media.

So we tackle the big things, but what is our process? It's all about making this easier for you. All information used is the best available. We do not coddle bad science, but we do include anecdotal evidence and common sense when appropriate. If that makes you uneasy, don't worry - we'll tell you where everything comes from so you can make your own decision.  

But what if we make a mistake or learn something new? Have you heard of a sequel? We are more than happy to make legitimate corrections as things change or come to light. 

WHO MAKES THIS SHOW HAPPEN?

We are a small group of information designers, sound engineers and researchers that currently do this in our free time. Teo is an information designer and former politico that handles animation and hosting duties. (She is also the one eating all those tomatoes.) Kyle is an engineer by trade and sound designer at heart who tackles the fun parts: our theme song; our sound effects; and keeping the chocolate fully stocked in the office. We also have a reliable group of policy experts that serve as researchers and advisors when we get in a tricky spot. As the show continues, we'll have some of them come say hello in front of the camera, too! We are all liberal, feminist, pro-choice and primarily cisgendered, non-disabled white folks. We are also big on hiking and quality coffee. Since our group is relatively homogeneous, we'll bring on people with different lived experiences when we're out of our element. If we're doing our job right, that will be often.
