Dylan Simone was born in Colorado and has lived nowhere else in his life. The mountains which dominate the landscape and the beautiful sunsets over them have always been an inspiration. The beautiful weather and how it can change on a dime as well as the rapid development of the area in which he lives have taught him to appreciate the moment for what it is, because it will not last forever. The permanence of the mountains among the changes give him hope that there is always something on the other side. Other major influences are animals, as the house he grew up in always had pets and animals in it. Video games have also had a major impact on his life as it inspires creativity and exploration and always has. He hopes to create experiences similar to his own that others will carry with them for the rest of their life by creating games and experiences. He is very practical in the way he tends to do things and very thoughtful about his methods. His family of three older sisters has taught him when to keep his mouth shut and when to speak up for himself and has made him strive for respect and recognition. Music has also majorly impacted the way he experiences art because he has played the clarinet for seven years and it demonstrates that there is an art for all of your senses, not just sight. His experiences with art are fairly limited, except in music, ceramics, and digital art. Although he has worked with clay and paints and drawing, he prefers to stick to digital art and music. He especially enjoys the style of adobe illustrator and what it allows the user to create, and also likes to create video game related content and would like to create games in the future if possible. He appreciates the smooth shapes it allows the user to create. He has only taken Ceramics and Graphic Design as his visual fine arts classes, but would like to experience more of the digital design classes available at any school. Although he has a lot of interest in fine arts, he wants to work in science and help design satellites and rovers.
