Hi, I'm Ori! ✨ I'm a nonbinary transgender Latinx artist and writer from Portland, Oregon!

I write comics about mental illness, queer identity, and rambunctious rescue cats. Like a lot of people I know, I've spent my life dealing with some serious trauma, struggling with my identity, and trying to live my life in a society where I've never quite fit in. Maybe you can relate?

That's why I'm creating Truth is Weirder - an autobiographical comic that aims to explore what it's like to live with Complex PTSD, depression, and anxiety.

I want to let other survivors know that they're not alone and that no matter how painful, the world can still be a source of love and laughter, growth and resilience.

I also want to help spread information and educate people about mental illness - a subject that's often difficult to talk about in our society.

When you back my Patreon, you'll make it possible for me to set aside time and space to work on my comic so I can reach more people!

You'll also be helping me support myself through school so I can help make the world a better place. Right now, I'm going back to school to become an art therapist. I think this is especially important since it can be hard for people from minority communities to find mental health professionals they can relate to.

Because of the nature of my mental illness and of my studies, I can't promise to update on a strict schedule, but I am aiming to post 2-3 new comics per week. Patrons will be able to get a sneak peak at my creative process, a glimpse at comics before they're posted publicly, free prints of my art, and even custom work.

Thanks for visiting my Patreon and supporting my work!
