About tsasuyeda ᏦᎭᎾ ᏣᏑᏰᏓ ᎻᎩᏍ ᏫᏍ

Siyo is used as a greeting in the Cherokee language.
This page supports the 501(c)3 for the Cherokee Bible Project.  If you are a patron and you need information for your tax records, please let us know.

I have been developing Cherokee language resources for over 2 decades.  You may be most familiar with my youtube videos or with my googlesites.
You may have seen some of my old videos like this Syllabary Learning Song or my blog (moving to Patreon) that I have posted TIPS for LEARNING CHEROKEE online.  My four main google sites include the CHOSEN ONE site, the PSALMS OF DAVID site, the OLD/ NEW TESTAMENT site, and the SPANISH/CHEROKEE site.
When I wanted to learn Cherokee, our family moved to western North Carolina.
{My dad, my mom, and I were all previously enrolled with the Cherokee recognized by the state of Alabama}
My first postings of language videos were intended only for me and my family to keep learning. But the videos found a much wider audience hungry for more.
Now, I've always made my Cherokee videos and language lessons available too online for free and that's not going to change.
But over the past few years, the work has moved from being a part-time hobby to a full-time job—with NOT EVEN any part-time income.
I pay my translators a real per-page rate and, as my postings have grown, I'm having to choose between turning down opportunities to translate and post more videos or
to turn down more and more work from the day job to keep things going which, over the years, has meant burning through my savings as well as failing to provide videos on a regular basis.
I'm looking for ways to make creating these translations and teachings truly sustainable on the long-term, so I've decided to try Patreon—and that's where you come in!
Maybe you can't move to western North Carolina to hear Cherokee spoken. But you can tune in on public youtube channel and on our private website to hear recordings we have made of fluent, native speakers.
I want to be able to afford to make archival quality recordings available not just to family and close friends, but to the general public.
My first project will be to post online, verse by verse, chapter by chapter, clear audio of SPOKEN Cherokee, from a historical source of the language: the Bible.  I already have a few verses posted on my youtube channel.  But I want to do more.  I want to record it all.
I would like to begin with the book of Psalms.
Every pledge will receive access to actual audio and video recordings of actual Cherokee language.
And by being a Patreon PATRON, you'll get access to a bunch of cool rewards, like sneak previews of the audio and video before it gets publicly posted to youtube, as well as digital downloads of such things as bookmarks and mini posters
As I am able to meet milestone goals of Patrons, I will also provide digital downloads of mini books and free pc & phone wallpapers.
Let's see how much we can get done, together!
