About

The Tucson Reptile Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to present the general public with positive and enthusiastic education on reptiles, amphibians, arthropods, and their conservation needs. We have been doing outreach education programs in and around Tucson, Arizona since 2013 and received our nonprofit status in 2017. Most of our programs are free or low cost as we focus our outreach on schools and organizations who often cannot afford zoo visits or museum field trips. By joining our Patreon, you are keeping our unique program up and running by providing constant funding for our mobile education group, our animals, and all other expenses!

Your donation gets you access to exclusive photos and videos of our animal ambassadors, as well as life blogs, scientific discussions, downloadable artwork, how-to and care videos, and more! The money you donate then gets used for veterinary care, upkeep, food, and habitat upgrades for the animals of that category. Any overflow from that animal’s monthly funding needs goes into a general fund to help provide funding for utilities, program upgrades, events, travel expenses, and large projects. If we reach a ‘critical mass’ of support, funding will start getting set aside to help us transition from a mobile museum to a large, must-see physical location!

Help us grow and reach even more of southern Arizona!

More about us!
We work with multiple schools, kids programs, charities, and other museums and parks to provide a hands-on outreach program that ranges from native species to common pets and their care all the way to exotics you won't find in your local pet store! It has been our pleasure to educate thousands of Tucson children and adults over the years, and we look forward to many more.

Currently, we are a mobile-only program. This means we travel to our clients to set up a presentation or lecture all over Tucson and the surrounding areas. There are a few upgrades we'd like to see in our near future. The first is an office to work out of where we can store our important paperwork, host small events, and work on all the boring business part of our museum. Next is a bus that we can modify to better travel and present our animal ambassadors to a wider range of events and programs. Finally, our last step is obtaining a large plot of land where we can build our permanent museum location, with plenty of room to expand and create large habitats! As a nonprofit, none of that can happen without the community. Remember, every  dollar helps us get closer to our goals and be the best museum we can possibly be!

$124.31 of $250 per month
When we reach $250 a month, we will start to invest in and set up two game cameras for the tortoise yard for your live streaming pleasure! That's right, log in to our cams to watch our tortoises' ridiculous antics, relaxing sunning, and interacting with their handlers and visiting friends! Wild birds, lizards, and occasional humans are a free bonus.
