Who am I?

My name is Grzegorz Juszczak, I am the creator behind TuxFixer (www.tuxfixer.com), a site that helps new and experienced Linux and OpenStack Administrators who want to make the most of their SysAdmin and DevOps skills.

I am the system engineer / system administrator who has been working for IT / telecom corporations for years, gathering expierence regarding Linux and OpenStack. Right now I am creating the whole content of TuxFixer myself, althought I plan to gather more IT professionals around this project.

What is my blog for?

"If you're not making someone else's life better, then you're wasting your time."

                                                                                                                     - Will Smith

I have started TuxFixer to:
- document my knowledge regarding Linux and Cloud Computing I have gathered for years
- share my knowledge with people around the world to help them learn Linux and OpenStack for free

I am obsessed with sharing new things I have learned with other people. I put a lot of effort and passion into every post I write to make it as simple as possible and as clear as possible, accoring to KISS principle, to let my visitors learn my content quickly and painlessly. I believe that somewhere in the world right now there is someone who is looking for some helping hand, some problem solution or some free tutorial regarding Linux or Cloud Computing.

I publish articles, tutorials, ideas and troubleshooting tips regarding:
  • Linux System Administration (especially: CentOS, Red Hat, Fedora)
  • Cloud Installation and Administration (especially: OpenStack)

I also create OpenStack / KVM qcow2 images for the following distributions:
  • Scientific Linux
  • Trisquel Linux
  • Arch Linux
  • Manjaro Linux
  • Linux Mint
  • Kali Linux

Why I am on Patreon?

I need money to pay for the DS-50 dedicated server I have been renting in HostUpon, which costs $175/month, right now I am paying for the server from my funds for life, what siginificantly burdens my home budget. In future I am planning to switch to DS-200 dedicated server for better performance, as the visitor's traffic on my website is slowly increasing, this will trigger even higher expenses.  From the other hand, I don't want the banner ads to become the only source of income for TuxFixer, since too many banners on the website will make a mess, make the website unreadable and start annoying visitors, who are the highest value for me.

So... I need Your help and support for this project to let it grow and last longer - anything, from $1/month up, will be helpful.
Thank You in advance for Your support and commitment!
Goals
$0 of $175 per month
I will be able to pay for my DS-50 dedicated server rent in HostUpon, where TuxFixer website is hosted.
