I'm Kat, the designer and creator behind Twilight Siren and Laced:Unlaced.
Corsetry is my passion! I have been making and studying corsets for 14 years! From the moment I completed my first corset, running my own company became my lifelong goal. So Twilight Siren: Luxury Lingerie was born - a fusion of contemporary corsets with historical techniques.

When I am not sewing, I will spend most evenings delving into the history of fashion and corsetry. Over the years I have visited numerous archives and collected a tremendous amount of knowledge from the garments housed there. Patents and extant garments are a constant source of inspiration in my design process. I also have my own personal collection of vintage corsets, which I often refer to for patterns and construction techniques, or to just nerd out for a while!... And thus, the Laced:Unlaced blog exists as a means of cataloguing my studies whilst providing educational resources for others.

With your patronage, I hope to bridge the gap between the contemporary side of my design company, historical studies and corset patterns.

I want to share with you my day to day work in progress diaries. For 2019, I challenged myself to make 'a corset a week' and record my creation process. My objective was to task myself on creating new patterns and styles, whether it involved vintage garments as a starting point, or bespoke orders from clients. You will see sneak peaks of my current projects, construction techniques, tools, tips and exclusive photo sets.

I will also be creating educational, downloadable content on historical and vintage garments, which will include detailed studies, photographs and corset patterns with construction guides.

**Patrons will receive exclusive discount codes for Twilight Siren and be the first to hear about sample sales**

Your Patronage will help fund
• Research materials - rare and hard to find books /corset catalogues and vintage adverts. Some resource books are ridiculously expensive!
•Specialist tailors ham for corset making
• Historical corsets to study and take patterns from
• Materials and components to make reproductions of historical corsets
• Travel costs toward archive visits for study days

Please check out more of my work on my website:
and my Laced:Unlaced Blog: - to give you an idea of the educational content/patterns I will be creating.

I hope you will join me on my journey!
