Hi. My name is Steven Singer. I'm a public school teacher in Western Pennsylvania who also blogs about education, civil rights and politics at<a href="https://gadflyonthewallblog.com/"> gadflyonthewallblog.com</a>. I started blogging because it seemed the local and national media wasn't interested in publishing the opinions of working educators like me, though they were very interested in what billionaires and their paid cronies thought. I began blogging in July of 2014. Now my articles have been accessed more than 1,750,000 times. I have been republished in the Washington Post, Education Week, Alternet, CommonDreams.org, the LA Progressive and many other media outlets. I also wrote a book published by Garn Press called <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078HLCV27/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_tkin_p1_i0">Gadfly On The Wall: A Public School Teacher Speaks Out On Racism And Reform</a>. I am a Nationally Board Certified teacher. I've given a TED talk on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2YrLrbIqns&amp;feature=emb_title">The Plot to Destroy Public Education</a>, and won <a href="https://www.coe.arizona.edu/tls/goodman_award">The Kenneth S. Goodman "In Defense of Good Teaching" Award</a> in 2020. I hope you'll be able to help support my work. This is all the result of stolen moments here and there. I do it because it's important.
