So I'm an artist, and I do hair. And somehow, I've managed to merge the two. Over the years, I increasingly get more and more questions about how I'm doing my techniques, what tools and products I'm using, and how I'm leveraging this information for additional revenue outside of the salon. Instead of taking the thousands of hours it would take to individually address all those queries, I thought I'd set up a space where you can regularly come check out what I'm doing and just learn directly from me! If you need continuing education in fashion color but also want to learn some more advanced and/or crazy and/or business-y stuff, this is the place!

But also, I am increasingly having health concerns that impact my ability to do substantial amounts of the physical labor involved in salon work. Educator work on stage is similarly taxing, and also often requires travel and its associated costs and discomforts (for me AND you - this can save you on some of the transportation/food/hotel costs that are associated with traditional access to continuing education), in addition to a stage persona and training and all that nonsense that isn't my strong suit or a goal for myself. My larger goal is to rely less on that sort of work for income and focus a little more on digital education so that I can still pay the bills but on my own terms and in a way that will not aggravate my chronic illness.

Lastly, we homeschool our kids, and I have a sneaking suspicion that my daughter will end up in a creative field like myself. I think one of the most important things that modern artists and creators can do for themselves is learn how to utilize social media and other digital avenues to both market and sell their work. Not everyone can just up and move to New York City to make a living, and the internet now allows us to work from any location, regardless of the creative economy locally available to us. So I have a personal goal for her to learn the skills that I've picked up, and will continue to have to build on as technology and its platforms evolve, in order to best prepare her for the work force. I couldn't manage a venture like this without help, which is what she will be providing. Your contributions are helping me teach her and grow another artist to be able to make a living doing what she loves! And yes, I'll let her in on some of the funds here to pursue her own art ventures. Who knows, maybe you'll see her own Patreon page set up eventually...

Check out my portfolio at www.ursulagoff.com to see what I'm talking about, and also for some a la carte education options if subscribing isn't your cup of tea.

Backstage pass! Go behind the scenes and get access to the variety of other projects I work on via Instastories. Whether it's art, furniture, clothing, photoshoots, travel, hair events, or any of the other complete and utter creative randomness that rules my life, you'll get to see what I'm up to at any given time outside of my "regular job", and get helpful tips and tricks, in addition to the potential for comedy because let's be real: my life is ridiculous.
