About

our story

Once upon a time . . .

English teachers walked into a room. Or at least into a new job.

You see, we were all English teachers--middle and high school English teachers--who became Instructional Technology Resource Teachers (ITRTs). While we love our new jobs . . .

WE MISSED THE BOOKS!

When we were all together, we found ourselves gushing over the newest books we loved, ranting about the books that had disappointed us, and eagerly recommending the books that our friends just HAD to read.

And we decided we wanted to launch THIS PODCAST.

We are passionate about books, bookish things, students, and teachers. This podcast is helping us to feed our book-loving, educator souls:

We yearned for in-depth conversation about the books we read. Our podcast has that!

We missed recommending books based on current reads. Our podcast has that!

We still can't help but think of how we would use each book we read in the classroom. Our podcast has that!

Oh, and we wanted to touch on all those other little book- and reading-related topics that pop up from time to time, so we created focused episodes on these topics!

Your support will help us continue our podcast, buy better equipment to continue to improve our sound and delivery, and enable us to get books in the hands of teachers, students, and book lovers.
