About The Unusual Economist

I'm a Berlin-based economist who conducts research on auctions, public procurement and more. What you can expect here are mostly scientific articles written in a non-technical manner. What makes this page unusual is that I focus on topics you can rarely read about on popular science pages.

Topics I want to address here: How to best spend government money on construction? Is there such a thing as tail risk in fiscal policy? Huawei cannot use Android, now what? What is identity politics in cinema? Etc.

I hope you will find my writings interesting and entertaining, and we will keep in touch here.
