About Urban Exodus

Urban Exodus began in 2015 as a photojournalism project featuring people who moved from city life to country life. In the last five years it has evolved into a website overflowing with honest, inspiring and realistic stories of people who are reconnecting with the natural world, growing their own food, crafting their own livelihoods, and living more intentional, purposeful, and sustainable lives - both inside and outside the city. In December of 2020, we are launching The Urban Exodus Podcast. The podcast will offer practical advice for country dreamers, rural folk and urban dwellers alike, who want to feel more connected to the natural world and the purposes and choices in their lives.
