Wishing you a happy and heartwarming holiday season!

Hello CHOC angels! CHOC Children's has been busy with the kids this holiday season building gingerbread houses, watching holiday movies, and more....providing joy to our patients and their families and friends. Thanks to your support, CHOC angels raised over $125,000 for CHOC's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). What a wonderful community rally for CHOC's littlest patients. We look forward to getting together in March, 2015 to celebrate. CHOC will be hosting a "get together" with one of our NICU doctors to learn about how the CHOC angels donations have made a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. More information to come in the new year! Thank you again for your generous support of CHOC Children's and its mission. Have a wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy New Year! Many thanks, Sarah Sarah R. Butler Director Corporate Relations CHOC Children's Foundation 1201 W. La Veta Avenue Orange, CA 92868 714-509-3588 Direct sbutler@choc.org

Our heartfelt thanks and invitation to join our Ducks campaign.

Thank you for your enthusiastic support of the “Be an angel for CHOC” campaign. Together, we raised more than $100,000 for CHOC’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), including the Small Baby Unit (SBU), where the tiniest, most fragile patients are provided specialized care. In recognition of your generosity, CHOC is creating a “Hallway of Hope” between the main NICU and SBU. The hallway will feature pictures of our littlest patients at birth and then later in life, offering hope and inspiration to families who are new to the NICU. We will provide updates as soon as they become available. Thanks again for your partnership and support, helping us secure bright futures for children! Are you a hockey fan? We received several requests to offer a program like this for the Anaheim Ducks. We are proud to say we have partnered with the Ducks and are launching the "Ducks for CHOC" campaign today! So, if any of you "Angels" are also hockey fans, we welcome you to join us at http://www.choc.org/ducks

CHOC's first patient (from 1964), Ken Spicer, took to the pitching mound for the ceremonial first pitch. He also threw the first pitch at the first game in the new Angels Stadium back in 1966.

CHOC Children’s has been lucky to have a longstanding relationship with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The CHOC-Angels partnership goes back to the hospital’s early days. In fact, CHOC played a special role in the first game ever played at Angels Stadium in Anaheim after its April 1966 opening. CHOC’s first patient, Ken Spicer, was invited at age 15 to break in the brand-new pitcher’s mound and throw the first ball. Watch the video to hear Ken talk about his experience.
