Hi, my name is Francesco and I'm a traditional and digital sculptor.

What you can expect from this Patreon?
Each  month I'll release fantasy and sci-fi 3d printable miniatures for rpg and wargame, scenic element and games aids.

How many models per months?
I try to release as much models as I can per month, the minimum amount of models is 4 per month.  Large or complex sculpt like vehicle can occupy two slots, anyway, I'll try to release always four models per month. I'll increase the numbers of models per month when will reach the appropriate goal (see "Goals" section).
January models release (more will come) :

How it work and why be part of the community?
  • as soon as your payment was accepted, you have access to a Welcome Set models and all the Models of the Months  links and can download it; the "Models of the month" link will expire day 30 of every month. The Welcome Set is the some every month, the "Models of the Month" are available only during the month I release it, after they will be available only through my site GHAMAK at a regular price (between 5 to 12 $ per model).
  • You can give me tips and suggestion on the next models.  When the community will grow up we will doing Polls for the next models.
  • I'll share my w.i.p. pictures and idea and love to involve people in the process creation, also I love the idea to be part of community based on miniatures and games.

What is it in the WELCOME PACK

The WELCOME PACK has five files inside, the link is always available and the Welcome Pack models will be never included into the GHAMAK online store, the only way to have this is with a Crusader and higher tier. I'll add models to the Welcome pack after we will meet the goal of 500 $ per month.

What you need for printing your models?
You need a 3d printer. The 3d printer's market is full of nice models for desktop and home use. On the home 3d printer market you can find two type of 3d printer: SLA and FDM printer. The first one catalyze a resin with UV rays, the second extrude a plastic like filament.

SLA printer pro and cons:
  • SLA printers can use a UV ray (like Form 2), a projector (like Solus) or LCD (like Wanhao D7, Anycubic Photon, Phrozen and many more ). The Laser UV models are usually up to 2000 $, the DLP (projector) are more expensive, but more fast (can print more piece at time without losing speeds) has a great definition (are used for jewellery cast) but also a smaller print area (at max resolution the print area is around 3,5X2,5 cm). The LCD printers are a way between the previous two, have a bigger print area, a 5,5" smartphone screen, so can print more models at once without intake printing time, but has not so good resolution like the DLP printers. The LCD printers are also less expensive, the Wanhao d7 and Anycubic Photoc are under 500$
  • UV resin for printers are more expensive compared to FDM filaments.
  • Usually has smaller print area compared to FDM printer.
FDM printers pro and cons :
  • Can be really cheap, a FDM printer can cost around 300$
  • Filament for FDM printer is cheap compared to resin for SLA printer.
  • Very large build area
  • Not so good definition as the SLA printer.
  • The models dimension, quality and quantity can seriously intake print time. For example, you can print a model in 8 hours (example), print two 30 mm models need 16 hours (ouch!)

So, what printer? Well, for printing your miniatures, a good and cheap choice are LCD printers, for printing scenic elements, FDM printers is a better option.

OK, so I don't want purchase a 3d printer, imo 3d printer service is too expensive, do I have to give up your models forever?
Purchase a 3d printer is the best and cheap option for you and your players group, but fear not, the great gals and guys at Boyd's Toys will print and sell Ghamak digital models at an affordable price. After the month where the file are available only through my Patreon, you can purchase the physical model from Boyd's Toys.

Why files and not directly physical models?
I love physical models, I grew up with metal figures but digital models files has a lot of advantage, just to mentioning few of these:
  • You purchase one time the file, but can print it how many time you want (see "how I can do and cannot do with Francesco Pizzo digital models);
  •  you don't need to wait days before receiving your models, as soon as you support my Patreon you'll receive your file, simple and fast;
  • do you want the model bigger or slightly smaller? No problem, you can scale it and create even a statue for your diorama or gaming table. Note the models are sculpted with a minimum size in mind (the size you'll find in the original models I sculpted for you), you can scale it down, but only few millilitres;
  • Another great point is digital file are cheap compared to physical models.

What I can do and what I cannot do with Francesco Pizzo models?
You can print my files for your personal use. You cannot share the files in any circumstance, nor free or for commercial use. All the right are property of Francesco Pizzo.

Why Patreon?
I start my journey back in 2006, when, without any art study on my back I sculpt my first miniatures, my idea was to create my own game and universe. No tutorial back in the day, so self-taught was not simple. Anyway, I start work as a professional digital sculptor in 2011, for Paolo Parente Dust. After this, I worked for many companies (Mantic, Infamy, Battlefront and my favourite, like a family, Boyd's Toys and many many others). Now I want to turn back to my root and start to produce the models I like and put the fundamentals for my own universe.
