Kyle Litwin Yes Venus has some advantages but you glossed over some of the big negatives. Sulfuric acid and the entire concept of floating cities. Whats the engineering backup plan when the sulfuric acid eats through your helium or air filled buoyancy bags for your venus colony? Needing full-body protection and air supply for the venus atmosphere isn't much better than a space-suit for mars. Where are the raw materials for building structures going to come from on venus? On Mars you can mine the surface. So yes, Venus has advantages but it also has disadvantages. I support going to venus, and yes even testing out potential floating structures as a test. I still think Mars is the way to go.

Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. It has no atmosphere and is, as such, covered in craters. It's also incredibly hot but, surprisingly, has water ice hiding beneath its surface.

Peter Downing Have I any thoughts? Hmmm... All the time, but at this moment, visualizing Hank as a stripper is almost as scary as the thought of a volcanic eruption the size of Mons Olympus. No offense Hank... Ya made me smile... Again!
