Who am I?
I'm Anders Blixt, a veteran Swedish dreamsmith who writes material for role-playing games in Swedish and English. I create places that never were, but that ought to be: Martian wastes crisscrossed by canals, unmapped forests where elves and fauns roam, battered steamships crossing stormy seas, sleek skycraft dueling among the clouds. I began traveling to those alien worlds in my childhood, thanks to my father who introduced me to Jules Verne's books when I was seven, and I intend to keep on writing till old age knocks me to the ground.

I have been a professional game designer for almost forty years. Several of my Swedish role-playing games, e.g. Expert Drakar och Demoner and Mutant 2, have sold 10,000+ copies. Some of my works for US publishers have received critical acclaim, e.g. the Kin-strife soucebook for Middle-earth Roleplaying and the foundation of the Darrian society for Megatraveller.

  • I have also penned a few science fiction novels and shortstories: link >>>
  • My blog The Dream Forge contains reflections on and reminiscences of games, science fiction, astronomy, my service in Afghanistan, and history: link >>>

Why Patreon?

I want your company on my otherworldly journeys, because my story-telling is at its best when I know that I have an audience. Patreon is a practical place for sharing my RPG creations, in  English or Swedish, with you. Your support will also enable me to spend more time making games for your entertainment, rather than doing mundane technical translations for The Man.

As my Patreon supporter, you will every now and then get role-playing "stuff" as PDFs depending on your reward tier, for example articles, campaign settings, adventures, variant rules & ideas, and the occasional complete game.

The Roman patrician Gaius Cilnius Maecenas supported many famous poets, e.g. Virgil and Horace, during the reign of Augustus. His name has become a byword for a dedicated patron of the arts: a mécénat. If you want to support my writing projects in this way, you have my heartfelt gratitude because your contribution will provide me with more time for creative work. Also:

  • You will occasionally get sneak previews of cool stuff.
  • You will be listed as a mécénat in my future games and books.
  • If you want to, I'll turn you into a major NPC in a product of your choice.
Goals
$145 of $1,999 per month
If I earn 1999 dollar per month, I should be able to switch to full-time game writing.
