Hi lovely Nateives! Thanks to all of you who responded to my question (http://bit.ly/1rB35AI) about 'monthly' vs 'per creation' pledges. As it was on Amanda Palmer's page, the general consensus has been that monthly is the way to go. SO, I'm going to be switching over within the next 24 hours! 1. WHY: --> it will simplify the process for new Nateives thinking of signing up. Just one monthly amount, no caps to set, no confusion about what they're pledging for, etc. --> I will have a reliable amount coming in every month, bringing financial stability to my world (yay). --> You, as Nateives (patrons), will know exactly how much you are pledging every month, and can set your budget up accordingly. --> It acknowledges that you are pledging to support me as an artist, not just for the pieces of art I create (a subtle but valuable distinction, I believe). As Oscar said so beautifully, "I think your patrons want to support *you*, not "buy" individual things you made." 2. HOW THIS AFFECTS YOU: Instead of needing a cap, you just have a set monthly pledge (this will automatically be what you currently have as your 'per creation' pledge). 3. YOUR OPTIONS: --> 1: leave your pledge as it is. --> 2: up your pledge to what your monthly cap currently is (and get cooler rewards in exchange). ---> 3: decide you don't like the way this is all going and leave The Nateives (can I please have a hug before you go though?). I created the group specifically to connect Nateives from around the world. I think you're all such amazing people and I know some of you have already become very good friends with one another!
