From a very young age I have been in love with the artistic experience. In elementary school, I would finish my school work so I would have time in class to draw. I was ecstatic to find out, in middle school (then called Jr. High), that I could choose an elective in ART!  I chose Art every year after that.

I wish I could say upon graduation I entered a prestigious Art college.  I wish I could say I became a well-established artist in my community. I wish I could say I chose a career in Art when I was younger.  But I cannot.  I chose to follow a different path. One that led to many "jobs."
I found myself constantly looking for that creative outlet within these jobs. I was overlooked many many times because I didn't have a degree. I craved a career, a journey, in an area that allowed me to CREATE.

In 2009, I entered college as a "seasoned" student. I was a single parent with two boys. I enrolled as a full-time student and worked part-time jobs while raising my sons. I graduated in 2012, at age 50, with a Bachelors in Art/Art Education. While teaching art to Middle School students, I worked tirelessly to earn my Masters in Marketing and graduated in March of 2017.

For the past two years I have worked hard to create a space in my home to CREATE works of Art from various mediums.  I feel this is where I belong. I am at peace in the studio. I know it is my home.  I love, absolutely LOVE,  expressing my view of life on a canvas, paper, photograph, ceramics, sculpture or digitally. The possibilities are endless. The only downside is I MUST work a full-time "job" to enjoy my "career" as an artist. My time as an artist (physically) is on the weekends. I need the time and financial strength to complete my journey.

This is where YOU come in... I value your visual culture. I want to create a piece of art that represents you, your home, your environment, your passion.  Something you smile at each time you walk by. Something that speaks for you in a room when you have guests. Something that connects us...connects to your voice. My initial goal is to build a separate studio outside of my home. This will enable me to be more productive and create better pieces.

Won't you join me on the last leg of my journey?  I promise, with your help, I will create a path that is worth the walk.
