Another week, another piece of fan art from Mad Max Fury Road.  This is an homage to not only the movie, but to one of my favorite artists, Ed "Big Daddy" Roth.  He's the artist who does all the Rat Fink funny car art from the 60s and 70s.  Somehow MMFR is sort of like an Ed Roth cartoon come to life.  Loved it and I hope you love this speed drawing process.  Thanks for your support and please spread the word about this Patreon (if you enjoy my art, that is).

So, in case you didn't know (and if you're one of my Patrons, I don't know how you couldn't know), last week was San Diego Comic Con - the year's biggest nerd con.  I was unable to attend this year. However, as in previous years, my artwork was able to go in my stead.  This year, I was able to design the invitation for a prestigious Hollywood Comic Con party. I've attended this party in the past and it is certainly one of the best parties I've been fortune to be invited to. This year, I did a Fantastic Four riff. It was a TON of fun to work on.  Not as fun as actually GOING to the party, but I'm happy to have been included.

For those wondering, elapsed time is around 3 hours on the total image from pencils to finished paint.

It's August and it's prime wedding season. To commemorate that fact, I'm sharing a speed drawing of an image I created for two geeky lovebirds for their wedding day. Actually, it was a gift FOR the two lovebirds, but all the same, it's a pretty geeky illustration. And now you can watch me draw it in lightning speed!

I've been wanting to draw Captain Marvel for some time now and felt this would be a good a time as any!  I wish I would have started recording from the pencil stage, but it was an impromptu drawing and I didn't hit record until I was well into the pencils.  In any event, you can watch  me do the ink and paint on one of the most iconic female superheroes we have today.

In September, I'm going to be tinkering with this Patreon to make it more exclusive. I'm brainstorming some ideas and I hope to implement them soon.

Happy Monday everyone!  I've got a pretty awesome speed drawing from top to bottom for you today.  It's one of my favorite characters - Hellboy!  I've always loved the look of Mike Mignola's character and I've been wanting to draw my own version for quite some time.  I think this turned out pretty great.  If you think so too, let me know in the comments.
